Greetings from Melbourne!

Gave my wide angle lens a first try at the view from our balcony and now i'm madly in love with it! Definitely no regrets getting this. What do you guys think?

Shaven zucchini salad with fennel, green olives, croutons and reggiano.

Crisp polenta with mushrooms and gorgonzola.

Duck, pancetta and sage ragu with pappardelle.

Spaghettini with crab, chilli and garlic.

Located in a warehouse, Cafe Sopra might not catch the eye of an unfamiliar person. The main entrance leads to the grocer, where people can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables and upstairs, the cafe and more shopping treats. The menu is cleverly written on an enormous chalkboard but the only hassle is having everyone gather around to decide on their choice of food.

Fratelli Fresh is the main company i would say and they created Cafe Sopra as a subset. This particular one is located in Danks St, Waterloo and is the first one to open. They have 4 more stores around Sydney and i've tried the one in the city but somehow it couldn't compare to this one.

Definitely a must-try to whomever visits Sydney.

Chef Salat mit Schinken und Käse: large mixed salad marinated with house dressing topped with double smoked ham & swiss cheese.

Schweinshaxn: oven-roasted pork knuckle served with sauerkraut, Löwenbräu Bier sauce, and mashed potatoes.

Kuan talked about this place when i mentioned The Rocks and me living in Sydney, felt pretty embarrassed not knowing about this place. So we gave it a try and i have to say, the food was awesome! But it'll definitely take more than 2 people to polish off that pork knuckle.

18 Argyle Street,
The Rocks NSW 2000.
